IWPA Mate E. Palmer Communication Contest
Winners Announced

SCHAUMBURG, IL – The Illinois Woman’s Press Association, an affiliate of
the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW), honored 33 members for
115 winning entries in the 2010 Mate E. Palmer Communication Contest at its May 15
Awards Luncheon and 125th Anniversary celebration, hosted at the Union League Club in
Chicago. Marianne Wolf earned 1st Place in
the Short Story Category for Alpha Male, published by Outrider Press. For

Winners announced for National Federation of Press Women 2010
Communications Contest. Marianne Wolf has been awarded 1st Place in the national short
story (single story or collection) category by the NFPW for Alpha Male published in the
anthology,
Fearsome Fascinations (2009) by Outrider Press. The NFPW awards dinner
will take place on Saturday, August 28 at the Union League Club of Chicago. For

On May 17 2008, Marianne was honored at the Illinois Woman's Press
Association Spring Awards Luncheon held at the Union League Club. She has been
selected the 2008 Communicator of Achievement for IWPA. The award encompasses
career success and service to both the community and to the Illinois Woman's Press
Association / National Federation of Press Women. Also, Marianne's work was honored in
5 categories of the 2008 Mate E. Palmer Communications Contest.
